Man with Big Hat by Paul Modlin
Man with Big Hat by Paul Modlin Paul Modlin, a well know and respected local artist, painted this back in 1992. The dimensions are 15" by 21.5". The medium is oil, and his signature is in the lower right corner. It is in excellent condition.

Paul Modlin is a graduate of The Cummings School of Art of Des Moines, Iowa, and received further training with Josey Bilan and at the Instituto Allende, in San Miguel de Allende.

Residing in Pine Top, Arizona, and Copala, Mr Modlin has been painting the Southwest and Mexico for over thirty years, with deep understanding and passion. Mexico and her people motivate him to a representation on canvas that expresses, undeniably, the spiritial dignity of man. His approach to that expression is at once blazingly colorful and serene. Few painters equal him in capturing the essence of life about them.

Mr. Modlin is the recipient of many competitive art awards in Arizona. Many one-man shows have been gratifyingly received in the Chuck winter Gallery, Tucson; Gold Key Gallery, Scottsdale, and in the former Mazatlan Art Gallery, as well as other Southwestern galleries.

This piece has a value of over $1000USD, and bidding will start at half of that, namely $500US, so bring your checkbook, and take home a valuable piece of art for half price.
