Greetings, gentle reader. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is
Juan Antonio Barragan Arias. I am a translator by profession, and an
adventurer by nature. I was born in 1964, and lived (mainly) in
Mazatlan Mexico ever since. I attended the University of Guadalajara
from ??? to ??? and majored in Biology. I have worked with Jacques
Cousteau aboard the Calypso, and trained killer whales and dolphins at
Seaworld. I am not sure if I hold the world's record, but as you can
see I have made probably hundreds of trips between California and
Nevada ;-). I have always loved animals, ask any killer whale, and
these days I am president of the
Amigos de los Animales, and animal shelter in Mazatlan Mexico,
which is one of the few in the entire country. Please
check me out on the web and you will find nothing negative. By
the way, I am not the Juan Antonio Barragan who sings, at least not
in public.
Juan, please add a lot more here!!
Even though Spanish was my first language, I am just as comfortable
speaking English. I do official (written) translations from Spanish
to English and vice versa. I also do simultaneous translation for
conferences, seminars, or even individuals. I have a complete audio system
suitable for ??? people, including screens, headphones, projectors,
microphones, etc. I have provided simultaneous translation services
for organizations such as ???...
I believe in being up front about everything. Most of my fellow
service providers try to determine the thickness of you wallet before
giving you price. I like to advertise my prices, so here they are as
of June, 2011:
| Type of Service | Rate in Pesos |
|---|---|
| Standard Document Translation | ??? per word |
| Expedited Document Translation | ??? per word |
| 100 Person Conference | ??? per day |
