Also, to the poster that mentioned doing hairdressing here for a job, don't count on it unless you do it privately and quietly out of your home. For example I have a Mexican friend that owns a cute little beauty salon, and with the new year she has just raised the price of a haircut to 30 pesos. She apologetically asked me if I thought it was too much money, but that they aren't making ends meet with the old price (20 pesos!!) She does gel nails for $150.00 pesos. So there you go. One of the remaining great bargains here in Mexico.
