AMIGOS DE LOS ANIMALES BOARD MEETING MINUTES October 10, 2006 At Canuck’s Restaurant. Mazatlán, Sinaloa. Meeting called to order @ 15 pm., 1st Billie, 2nd Edgar. 3rd Linda.
Board Members present were, Linda Ramírez, Secretary; Presitent Alison Cunningham; Treas- Edgar Barragan; Public Relations Officer- Alma Zapeda de Balingasa;Vice Pres- Billie Soltis; Dr. Juan López also in attendance.
September board meeting minute was approved.
President's Report: Spay and Release program.- Allison offer to make orange collars to put on all cats spay and release, that way anybody can see that a cat had been spay.
Shelter Report - Dr. Juan. Edgar. About the important problem that cause that al least 7 dogs and cats passed away after surgery, Billie ask if there is a possibility that that happens because of the stitches. Billie offer to call her vet and other vet to talk about this. Linda ask Doctor Juan that he should dress like a vet, during his work. Allison ask to make a total clean up and desinfection of all the shelter, taking all animals out of cages and using bleach. Edgar recomend that a comitee should be instaled in each neighborhood to take care of dogs an cats. Dr Juan ask for towels, at least 50. Doctor Juan ask for volunteers to release cats In september, we accept 20 dogs We gave in adoption 7 dogs We euthanized 2 dogs because of severe illness We get 15 cats adult and 8 kittens. Only one was adopted. 7 vere euthanized
