lAMIGOS DE LOS ANIMALES BOARD MEETING MINUTE November 14, 2006 Held at Canucks Restaurant Olas Altas, Mazatlán, Sin. Mex.

Meeting called to order @ 35 pm. 1st Linda, 2nd Edgar, 3rd Martha.

Board Members present were, President- Alison Cunningham, Treasurer- Edgar Barragan, Public Relations Officer- Alma Zapeda de Balingasa, Conrehabit Liaison-Martha Armenta, Secretary-Linda Ramirez, U. S. Liaison-Nadine Laxen, Dr. Juan also in attendance.

OLD BUSINESS.

Alison read a letter from Maureen, about her visit to the shelter, that she found it clean and run by people who care.
Orange collars for catch and release of cats. Alison explained she needs help with collars, Edgar mentioned an idea of a material for collars but was refused because it could be dangerous for cats. Alison agreed to make the orange collars until we get more help.
Donation Boxes. Alison let us know that we can get by Internet 25 boxes at a very good price. As soon as we get the new ones we will distribute them. The old ones are not working anymore.
Medical Supplies and Vaccines. Alison ask Edgar to have all medicines and vaccines at the shelter at all times. Edgar said that they are already always at the shelter and when needed under refrigeration.
Shelter Truck. Nadine explain that she was concern about the back part of the truck, because it was rusted and dirty. So she had it painted and cleaned. Alison ask that this part of the truck should be constantly cleaned and bleached, to avoid any infection to animals. The rest of the truck also must be kept clean.
Alison ask Doctor Juan to respect the use of the truck, and use it only for Shelter needs. We also ask Edgar that it has to be a log book to keep track of the maintenance of the vehicle and schedule all repairs and maintenance on time. Edgar agree to do that ASAP.
We also ask that all cages has to be constantly bleach and clean, and Edgar said that the way they are.
Preparing dogs for Adoption.

We also ask Edgar and Juan that all healthy animals should be wash and spray with front line for ticks and fleas and dry, BEFORE they go to the cages, and again before leaving the shelter. This is mandatory..

Nadine brought 2 bottles of front line and gave them to Edgar.
10% Discount for services from other Vets. Edgar attended the meeting of the vets, and doctors liked the idea of giving 10% discount to all animals from the shelter, but it is not official yet because the meeting had no quorum. Edgar insist on this later.

NEW BUSINESS Applaud Alma´s latest accomplishment. The board gave a strong applause to Alma because she get that National TV interview people at the shelter. In the near future this will happen.

Introduce Patty Neal like the new Chairperson of Fundraiser Committee. Patty can help us organize Fundraisers.

Discussion on new shelter and property. Alison inform us on her research for a new place for the shelter, and ask Edgar to find out if that area gets flooded or not. We all like the location. So Alison will continue this business.

Henry Laxen will take care of all the advertising at Pacific Pearl.

Edgar will attend a workshop sponsor by the government about social organizations. He will inform Martha and Alison.

The location of future meetings will stay at Canucks

Nadine Ask Edgar to renegotiate the amount paid to the Crematorium, since we send less animals a month.

We voted yes to pay water instead of Doctor Juan.

SHELTER REPORT Adoptions 22 dogs. Received into shelter cats, dogs. EU’d cats, dogs. 35 cats at the shelter, 10 ready to realese. Dr Juan confirm that all realese cats are tatoo, and wearing an orange collar.

Alison complimented Dr. Juan on what a great job he was doing and that his improvement and performance is fine
