Special thanks to Alison, Billie, Anne, Nadine Henry Susan Renata was acknowledged for hosting an annual Cat Dance in Vancouver, Canada and donating the profits to Amigos. Shelter Liaison Rafael gave accolades to Jan Mcdonald who housed cats and dogs while the shelter was closed. She is taking 4 cats and a dog back to Canada for adoption this year. 1. Donation Boxes We need to re vamp our donation boxes. Get them to more businesses, make them smaller and have one key that fits them all. Volunteers to assist with this project are: Sam, Alison, Cindi and Buffi.
  2. Website A way to make some money and promote our website is to charge $5.00 per person. The pet owner could write a story about their pet, post a picture, and we could get to know our members pets and make money.

New Business

  1. Rhonda has asked that we spay the mama cat that has just had 4 kittens for Canuck's. We have agreed to spay her and adopt the kittens as a thank-you to Canuck's for all the support they have given to ADLA.
  2. Alma has had time from channel 2 donated to ADLA to promote the adoption of shelter pets. This program will air on Saturdays @ 30 am. Alma is also looking for rooms to accommodate people from Mexico City who will be arriving in Mazatlan, and assist us in a spay and neuter program.
  3. We are looking for Teresa, who was at the March 15th General Meeting. She was with the Humane Society in Cancun and had some excellent ideas she shared. If anyone knows how to contact her please call JoAnn Scott.
  4. David Bodwell has offered to donate 1,000 pesos towards the printing of flyers to be handed out in the needy colonias with information on the Amigos de los Animales shelter. Cost will be 2,000 pesos for 10,000 copies. David has also agreed to ensure the monthly advertising for the Pacific Pearl will be done for the summer months.
