Nadine's Status Report dated April 23, 2005
- Plumbing Upgrades
- Water pump fixed and serviced.
- Two sewer lines fixed - cement had clogged and broken both.
- Water sprayer installed in order to wash dogs.
- Hot and cold water combined so they mix, comfortable baths are now possible.
- Grooming clippers bought for dogs. Flea dip and shampoo bought for the summer.
- All supplies that the board found lacking while working at the shelter have been bought.
- Covered trash cans and storage area.
- New computer desk for Daniel.
- Cat Pavilion Upgrade.
- Cages installed and sprayed blue in Cat pavilion
- Table used for Daniel's desk went into the cat pavilion.
- Keys for Rafael and Board member who works with Shelter for drop in spot checks.
- Display for leashes and collars to be given out with adoptions.
- Bought clip boards for the kennels so every dog has a recorded history.
- Bought 50 new batteries for the 5 bark collars. These have been a big improvement in the shelter. Plus we don't get complaints from our neighbors anymore.
- I have received the names and hours of all the employees at the shelter. They are now posted. Any board member or general member will know the name of the responsible person at the time they enter the shelter.
- Bought 6 months of Ad space with the Pacific Pearl. It cost a lot more than I had first thought. I only bought November-April months.
- Tile work completed by the Laxen's.
- New designed Amigos t-shirts will be ready in two weeks. The Laxen's paid for the first run of these. They are lighter weight and cost less to buy so we should get more money for their sales.
