In the summer of 2013, I attended some trivia parties hosted by Café
Magaña. It was a lot of fun, and I started thinking about how a
little
haskell could make it better. So I
decided to write a web app to implement a Trivia contest client/server
app. I also used it as an excuse to learn about websockets, which is
a really neat technology that make asyncronous communication really
simple.
The (rough) code is
available, if you are interested. I'll clean it up and document
it properly soon (I hope).
In the meantime, you can try out some actual contests. You need to
open two windows (or tabs),
one for the master of ceremonies, and
one
for the contestant. You can of course have more than one of each.
If you live in the Guadalajara / Lake Chapala area and are interested
in hosting a Trivia Party at your bar or restaurant,
send
me a message and perhaps we can work something out.
Quote of the day:
My dog is worried about the economy
because Alpo is up to $3.00 a can. That's almost $21.00 in dog
money.
