My junior high school friend and questing partner Bob came down for a visit in July 2012. We have been best friends since 1969, only 43 years so far. It was great to see him again, it had been about four years since we last got together. Just like high school, we spent our time together playing tennis, eating, imbibing libations, and discussing matters of vital interest to no one. One the last day of his visit, we went to the local mercado where Bob had a hard time deciding with of the many fine and valuable items on display to purchase for his beloved family back in California. He managed to buy something tasteful, despite my urging his immediate purchase of the stylish mug with exaggerated features of members of the feminine persuasion.
